10th July 12-Litchfield National Park
Today we went to banboo creek tin mine for a tour with the park ranger.  After that we went to the Cascades for a swim
Tin Mine.  This was mined from 1910 to about 1950.  The original miners had no vehicles but later they would have.

The bottom of the shaft hole where the miners would go in and collect rock and bring back outside to sift for iron ore back in the 1910 to 1950s.  It was hard work and the miners lungs got damaged from the silica in the rock that they were picking at underground

Cascade Falls Litchfield National Park.  We hiked 2km along a creek to get here and there was this waterfall and a small swimming hole.
