2nd July-Kakadu National Park
Today we packed up and drove to Cahills crossing at East Alligator River. The East Alligator River is the border from kakadu National Park and Arnhem Lan. After that we went to Ubirr to see the rock art. When we finished the walk we said goodbye to Dave, Rafiki and Bodhi. when we left we drove to a free camp at the Mary River

Cahills crossing Kakadu. There are 2 large male crocodiles that hang in this part of the river as well as bull sharks and Barrumundi fish. People have been attacked here. They stand in the water where the cars cross and have to be very careful of crocodiles. This section of the river is tidal and makes for very good fishing. Across the other side is Arnhem Land. You must have a permit to travel here as this is aboriginal land |
