Today we went to Denham in Shark Bay. We went to Shark Bay Caravan Park to stay for 2 nights. We swam in the pool and watched the paralympics for the rest of the day seeing we've got a powered site finally.
Erin at our awesome swimming pool. It's not heated but the water is warm enough that mum and dad came in too
One of the dolphins that has come in for a feed at Monkey Mia. They tell the difference between the dolphins by the cuts and jags on their fins. They only feed them once a day and you have to stand in the water for about 20 minutes for the dolphins to interact with you, they cruise along the water knee deep in front of you then they bring the fish food out for them. They only do it for about 10 minutes as there were baby dolphins and they need to feed every 7 minutes in deeper water so the baby dolphins would miss out on food if the mother was continually in shallow water having a hand feed on fish
4 Dolphins racing across the shallow water in front of us playing around and looking for fish. When they chase fish they can swim up to 40km per hour
Shark Bay was discovered by Dirk Hartog and there is an island off Shark Bay named after him.
