Today we drove to Newman Rock, Balladonia, Caiguna blowhole, Caiguna, Cocklebiddy, Madura and Moodini Bluff free camp. On the way there we saw a snake and lots of roadkill.

Doing my school work with mum. I have my fly net on as there are lots of flys on the Nullarbor. We have the fire going heating water so we can have a shower tonight. |

Erin looking into the Caijuna blowhole. There is a cave underground and when you stand near the hole cool area blows out at you. The underground temperature is constantly around 17 degrees and the cave breathes and that's why you feel the cool air at the opening. In the hole was a snake, not sure what type but it was black. We thought Erin was joking when she told us. |

This is one of the spots you can obtain water on the Nullarbor. We stopped here and both tanks were empty with about 6 kangaroos hanging around the tank as it has a big undercover area to help protect the tanks and probably to keep the water cool, when there's water in them. It's very dry on the Nullarbor and the water that comes from underground is often too salty to drink so the small settlements have to desalinate the water from underground. |
