23.10.12 (Tuesday)
Today we left Coff in Bay and drove into Port Lincoln, then we went South down to Mikkira Koala Park Campground.  We saw lots of koalas.

Mikkira Koala Park Campground.  We were in the middle of farming land, sheep country.  There were about 200 koalas on the park.

Lizard that Mum nearly stepped on.

This hut was the original homestead in the late 1800's when it started off as a big sheep station. They used to wash the wool then export it by ship to England.  The wool was worth more as it was washed clean

Inside the cottage.  There were two fire places, one in the kitchen and one in this back room. The stretcher bed wouldn't be too comfortable.  There was a parents room and another room with 2 single beds and this room

The eucalypt trees here are lower to the ground then at home so the Koalas are low . This one we could have touched if we wanted to.  We didn't as its wild.

This one was in a tree next to our van.  They make the weirdest noise when the talk to each other. It's a cross between a quad bike motor and a grizzly bear sound.  Mum thought it was a wild pig at first
