21st July 12-Fitzroy Crossing Today we drove to Fitzroy crossing early and went to Geikie Gorge. we went on a boat cruise and the guy said they want to re-name it as Darngoo gorges. We saw lots of freshwater crocs. We set up camp at a caravan park in fitzroy crossing.

Jake at the entrance to the Geikie Gorge national Park.  The Fitzroy River is the river that runs through the gorge.  notice the 'salt water crocodile' sign. 
This is a male fresh water crocodile that  has found a female mate (leaning on top of him)  They will stay together now till they breed
Geikie Gorge.  Under the water are lots of tunnels and caves that archeologists etc come here to explore.  These limestone rocks show remnants of when Australia was under water millions of years ago
